With this environment, I was able to print with the RX595 connected to the airport extreme from both of my macs. Previously, my installation was an older version of the iMac, the original Airport Express (looks like a flying saucer) and used 10.4.11 on the iMac. I cannot get the RX595 to print when connected to the new Airport Express. I recently upgraded my Mac environment with a new iMac, the latest Airport Extreme and OS version 10.5.3. I did send this email to Epson support (grab a coffee, as it is longish):

I, too, had this problem and found the solution of using the RX590 - Gutenprint v5.3.1 driver as a (more or less) solution. If you just need to print on standard paper sizes this is a decent way to go. HOWEVER, I was not able to use the Print CD software to print on a disc, so I would not cal this a final solution. The icon is generic now, but it printed a perfect test page. I selected the driver called "*Epson Stylus Photo RX590 - Gutenprint v5.1.3*". This time after it found the driver it wanted I decided to select the driver from the list manually. Next, I deleted the Bonjour Printer I just created from the list and started again. Not sure if this had anything to do with the fix because when I installed the printer via bonjour and sent a test page the job showed up in the que and the status said "Connecting" but then the job immediately disappeared from the que and nothing happened. *I finally got my RX595 to print wirelessly today!* This is what I did, but I am not sure exactly what fixed it or if the first step was necessary.įirst I downloaded the new OS X Leopard Driver from the Epson site (
